This is Fireburst Mystery from TishNWonderland that I started in July. You can find the pattern there in her QAL section. It really is a pretty quick one and helped me use up some stash (one of my agreements with myself – just too many UFOs to finish). The challenge is to have it done by January and I am well on my way. You can see the blocks are done and I made a guess as to the layout.
Don’t you just love the center block?
Mine is assembled and awaiting quilting. Hallelujah! I won’t be in Maine with it again until after Thanksgiving but it is a small baby quilt, 32″ square, so it should be easy peasy to get done! I probably just jinxed myself.

Hi Kathleen! Easy peasy. Yup. You jinxed yourself for sure. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it!! I’m glad you’re not keeping it a mystery until January 1st (like I am because I have no ideas . . .). It is truly beautiful and I do love the center block. And you fabric choices!! Happy Happy Wednesday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
Roseanne, you are so right! After I typed it I knew…. Well, we shall see.
I love it! You will have it quilted up in no time at all 🙂 I can’t wait to see how you decided to quilt it.
Thank you! It has been really fun…glad someone twisted my arm to do it.
It’s beautiful and I look forward to seeing how you finish it!
Thanks, Yvonne. It was a lovely little mystery, and will live in my “in case I need a baby quilt pile”, for some time.
I know you can do it. (finish that quilt) It is very pretty. Good luck. I got my fabric picked for sewing this one but that’s as far as it went. I’ve been very busy this summer and fall.
It is a pretty quick quilt. I loved the pace, so you could replicate in the fullness of time. It does seem like you have been traveling a whole lot – good for you.
Lovely quilt! Yep, easy to quilt for sure. All kidding aside, I’m sure you’ll get this one done fast. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
Thanks, Jennifer. It should get done….honestly it nearly is and I think I have a good quilting plan. Keeping my fingers crossed!
What great blocks! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project!
It’s always a pleasure participating and moving forward on projects!
I do love the center block! And the pretty marblizided fabric.
No jinxy! The rest is easy sailing ⛵️
Thanks, Abbie, I am counting on smooth seas.
Very nice! I’m looking forward to seeing how you quilt it! Happy Quilting! 🙂
Thank you, Gail. I think I am doing a real quick design, like fireworks on it – that’s my latest plan!
I’m in the same stage as you, top finished and trying to decide how to quilt it. I do know for me, it won’t be easy peasey. Can’t wait to see yours quilter. 🙂
I hope you can get to it. If it is the baby size it is pretty easy. I hope it will be fast for both of us!
Wow, that one block looks like a bear to wrestle….great job…love it.
I think you could conquer that block, it wasn’t too hard!
I love your Fireburst fabrics! Such great colors! Good luck on your goal!
It is a beautiful design and I love the fabrics that you are using.
It was nice that I was able to shop my stash for these. I have been waiting to use that marbelized fabric for a long time.
I love this version! You’ve picked such great colours!
