Here we go! I have a new logo and am thrilled. It has been on my list for nearly two years, and finally, I did it. Well Wendy Berman of Iron Blender Studio did it. Wendy and I have worked together on a few projects – a website and marketing plan. She is so talented. When working together, she always impressed me with the way her presentations/designs – she did the same for me.
I believe you get what you pay for. Like moving to WordPress, I knew I could do it but I would forever and not know what I needed for print or anything else…business cards, buttons – the list is endless. I now have what I need to publish on the web or on paper and look professional. My husband encouraged me to do this – thank you, Jonathan.
I am making progress on November’s Island Batik project! It is a log cabin challenge and I have wanted to do this for awhile. It is a reversible log cabin, all done at one time. It is a QAYG (quilting as you go) project and I hope you will enjoy it.
I have also been doing a lot of EQ8 work. I designed this in a class, for a little halloween hanging. I am hoping to really get my ideas into quilts in the next coming months.
I also started an experiment on the Fusible and Wash Away stabilizer for English Paper Piecing. It is a really fast method and there are some things I love about it already. I am using the same project as my Island Batik Ambassador project; it will give me a good baseline. There are one or two things I don’t like, so we’ll see where we wind up. This is the first of the products I’ll be testing. Really, it is just for me to know and you to find out….hope one of these wins as a way of getting things done faster
That’s whats getting me into trouble this week. Should be on the blog a little more next week. Let’s hope for a finish!

Hi Kathleen! Your new logo is lovely and very fitting, I think. How wonderful to have your spouse supporting you along the way. That’s just the best – and now you can tackle whatever you need to. I have to say your Island Batik log cabin peek is also lovely – those prints are fabulous. Ugg to EQ8. I still have to really learn it since I purchased it late last year. Maybe some day I can take a class in it. It’s fun to follow along with you here on WP! ~smile~ Roseanne
Lovely new logo and color change. It’s bright and happy in your corner of the blog-osphere! And I look forward to hearing more about your log cabin / QAYG project.
Kathleen, your new logo and coloring is perfect. I agree with Yvonne, it is bright and happy. Looking forward to seeing what is next.
I agree, your new logo and coloring is really nice! Love that IB fabric, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you are creating. I need to get crackin’ on my EQ8.
Kathleen, your new logo and the new color looks great! That EQ8 design is very cool. Will be fun to see that one as a quilt!
Kathleen, your new logo is awesome! Congratulations and keep on doing!
