Another quilted table runner is finished and I am so happy with this. It is a duplicate, kind of, of one I made in March 2025 as part of a blog hop with Jennifer Fulton, of the Inquiring Quilter. This one is a little wider, and I really love it. It is an easy make, and no excuse except lack of time that I didnt finish it before now. But, I did and now I am so happy to share it with.
The Fabrics

I adored this fabric line. Living in the Pine Tree State, and fabrics in blues and clays, I was immediately smitten. I doubt there are many of these fabrics left, as I just realized this is over a year ago. I thought I would link to all the people who were in the original hop, as you can see what they created with it.

There are a lot of fun projects to revisit. And, I did check and some of the fabrics do appear to be out there, one in a kit at Keepsake so it is not entirely gone!
The Table Runner

This is a fairly simple runner to make, albeit a little wide. The runner finishes at 22″ x 44″, but I like this size. The forumla is pretty easy.
- Feature fabric: 3 squares cut at 8 1/2″
- Lattice Fabric: 6 pieces cut at 2″ x 8 1/2″, 2 @ 2″ x 11″, 2 @ 22″
- Setting Triangles: 2 squares cut at 9″, then cut in half on diagonal for 4 triangles. 1 Square cut at 13.5″ cut in quarters on diagonal, giving you 4 triangles
- Inner Border: 2 pieces 2 x 43.75″ and 2 pieces at 2″ x 13.5″
- Outer Border: 2 pieces at 3 x 43.75″ and 2 pieces at 3: x 21.5″

I assemble the rows with the feature blocks first. I do make the setting triangles and lattice a little oversize. I trim this all down at the end. I find it easier to have a little extra rather than fuss the pieces. I love this kind of runner for the ease of making it, and the way it features the fabric.
Quilting the Runner

Last time I used something that was called “Tree” from Prostitcher. This time, I decided on a more complex pattern, called “White Pines Pantograph” by Diane Henry. I have taken classes from Diane in prostitcher, so it is fun to use her pattern. There was another one I was work on, also hers, but then I saw this which cut my work in half! All I need to do was make the row fit the entire runner, then I would flip the design and the start and end points. Easy peasy. I did fuss it to center in the runner and it worked pretty well.

Here is a good shot of the finished flimsy.

And some of the quilting on the top.

And one of the front on the table.

Because the runner was a little wider than the width of fabric, I inserted a piece. The picture is showing it as blue, but truly it is white with some gray in it. For quilting, I used a Glide navy thread on the front and back. There is a Dream Cotton batting in it, which is another reason I wanted the quilting to be denser.
