December escaped me and I will be visiting family for Christmas. I wish each of my readers a holiday time filled with joy, for whatever holiday you celebrate. I will be with a larger group of family on the 24th and smaller on the 25th – but we have done this for so many years, it is the only way Christmas feels right. I made these stars in 2019 and you can visit them here: A Folded 8-Pointed Star.
Tips and Tutorials Retiring

Tips and Tutorials is being retired. I will come up with something in the new year, but it has slowed down a lot over the past year, so it is time to think of new things. Remember, you can see old tips and tutorials at by clicking on tab at the top of my page or on my Pinterest board. I will keep writing these, but more in the context of what happens each month.
Stay at Home Round Robin 2025

We will return with the Stay at Home Round Robin in 2025. Your hosts will be:
- Anja @ Anja Quilts
- Brenda @ Songbird Designs
- Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- Gail of @ Quilting Gail – our fearless founder!
- Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
- and me – Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
More details will follow but we begin January 13th, with selecting your block and continue weekly until the last block is announced on February 24th. You do have a month to complete the top. And yes, there are prizes. I will have much more after the holidays, so start collecting blocks and fabric!

Merry Christmas Kathleen!
Have a wonderful Christmas, Kathleen! Looking forward to new things in 2025!
Your stars over the crackling fire are so cute, Kathleen!!! Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas and a healthy start into 2025!!
These stars are on my list … my friend are an expert and I have to learn from her next year.
Love the information about SAHRR 2025…I am so excited and proud to be part of the SAHRR family, fabrics are pulled out, need to be washed between the years. My last two quilts are on there way to be finished. One is so big that I do handquilting. 70% are done and hope between the years I can finish it. The other one needs the back and batting, but there is a plan and a friend who will love it. Thats the best, when quilts are loved by the ones they get them. Have a very good time, enjoy familiy and good food and all the loveones around you!
Merry Christmas, Kathleen. I hope you have a cozy visit with family!
Sorry to hear that Tips and Tutorials is being retired, Kathleen. You presented some really wonderful information over the years. Looking forward to the SAHRR. Enjoy the holidays!
Merry Christmas! I will try my best to join in on the round robin next year!!! xx
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas visiting family!
The folded stars are so pretty and festive. Looking forward to all of the awesomeness that you will create in 2025.
