Welcome to the Fab Farm Sew Along Parade of Quilts! It feels so good to say this as my quilt is done and on its way to baby Maeve. It was a last-minute addition to the sew-along list but the only way I knew I would be close to the right delivery date. So, let’s take a look at a few last details on my quilt, and enjoy the parade.
Quilting Information
In the last post, I neglected to add anything about the quilting but did show it to you.

I chose the pantograph Safari Clouds by Anne Bright Designs. In so many ways this pantograph is perfect. There is no overstitching and it is just so darn fluffy and perfect for this quilt. It adds to the dimensionality but doesn’t distract from the lovely farm animals. I used Superior SoFine #494 Pastel Blue for the top and it blended so well.

I also made a label. Since the other baby quilts (her sister’s and her cousin’s) were hand done, so was this. I sewed it on and then put it in the wash! I do like for the quilt to be entirely clean before meeting baby and to know there are no problems with dye transfer.
The Finished Top
Maeve’s Fab Farm did take a visit to a small farm to see a few sheep.

Maeve is here and we are so grateful. Maybe one day I will get to take her to seem some lovely farm animals.

The sheep were totally uninterested in me…so I kept my distance and took a picture! The other fence closer to them was too flimsy to put the quilt on, it just collapsed and as the fields are moving….well…we wouldn’t want to dirty this quilt would we.

Thank you to my Co-hosts
I am so grateful to my co-hosts and quilting friends, Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts and Nancy Grace and Peace Quilting. Both are such good sports to have jumped on board and I am so grateful. I can’t wait to see their finished tops. Even more fun is that by the time you read this, there will have been an excellent adventure meeting the two of them in MN – friends, food, fun, and a bit of quilt store hopping.
Linky Party

The linky party is open for Fab Farm Quilt Tops. I am not sure when I will have to close it, but if you come after it is closed and need to post let me know and I can reopen it. Right now it is open until the end of August.

What a wonderful way to welcome Maeve!!! I love the cheery yellow binding and the cloud quilting, Kathleen!!!!
How cute this turned out Kathleen! Love the photo shoot, and congratulations on baby Maeve (love the name). The Safari Clouds panto is perfect.
I love the way quilted it with the clouds. It’s a beautiful quilt! I like your idea of washing baby quilts too. It might encourage “use” rather than treating it like it will get wrecked if used. I have 3 to make in the next couple of months. I’m going to wash them too.
Fun to see your finished quilt and the photo shoot at the farm! My top is still hanging out on the design wall, so the quilting and finish will be a bit yet!
and done so quickly, so very cute on the fence like that

Maeve’s Farm turned out beautifully, Kathleen! I also like to pre-wash quilts before I gift them for the same reason(s).
Adorable! Fun photo shoot too! 🙂
Maeve will surely enjoy this quilt for years,, Kathleen. Such a sweet quilt!
So good to see your finished farm! I am sure Maeve will love this quilt for years to come.
Just so sweet and adorable! I can’ decide which animal I like best.
