Well, there are big plans afoot for October…I am finally feeling that I can get a little more quilting done so it’s time to ramp up my plans. Cool crisp days of fall always urge me to up my game and get more done. This blog post is proof of my commitment to that for this month.

Support Group Quilt and Stitch Along
First up, I am stitching along with the Fat Quarter Shop and the Support Group Quilt and Stitch Along*. Breast Cancer has touched many of the women in my family, so I am vigilant and get my mammogram yearly. If you haven’t scheduled yours, do it! More about this stitch-along and my new cross-stitch efforts will be coming up on the blog. I really wasn’t up for the quilt, so I thought I would learn a new skill. Want to join along? Here is a link to Cross Stitch University to get you going. Also, they are raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation – here is the link – please join me in supporting this great cause. I donated in memory of my mother and as of noon on 10/6, they were at $7K of the $20K goal they had set for this year.

Wips-B-Gone 2022
So beginning October 1, Leanne, who blogs at Devoted Quilter, is running her UFO finish-it-up blog hop. I haven’t even gotten my list together, but I will. I have a lot of little things I could get done, some embroidery projects never started, etc. Let’s see how motivated I get….but first, I need to write the list!

Autumn Jubliee
Autumn Jubilee is in full swing at Carole’s blog, From My Carolina Home. I have every intention of making a few of the things, so let’s see how I do this year. I need to hunt down my wool for the cute cornucopia pattern she opened the jubilee with. And there are prizes, so be sure to check out the rafflecopter rules and have fun this month celebrating Autumn with Carole.

One Monthly Goal
I am ready to get my PopStar quilt finished. This was a quick make, but the broken ankle prevented me from hopping along during the hop. Nonetheless, I wanted to do it and it is time to finish the quilt. The top is done; quilting and binding remain to be finished. I will link up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts, who helps us stay on track and finish a languishing project each month.

You are too organized for me!! LOL. I make lists, but do I follow them? Nope. But I did make an effort this weekend to work on things that HAVE to be done for guild on Monday, so that’s a small victory! Good luck with your goals, and so glad you are getting back to quilting.
Great plans, I also plan to join in on Autumn Jubilee this year. That acorns quilt is gorgeous.
