Welcome to the February edition of Tips and Tutorials on the 22nd #TTot22. Last month’s challenge was a blast and the following bloggers and helpers won a charm pack: Carol A, Linda G, Kim S, Rebecca R, and Wendy T.! It was fun to see so many linkups and I hope to see more this month; a link to all the posts from last month follows:

My tip for you is a simple one. I was working with my drunkard’s path templates that I purchased at a prior QuiltCon. They were slippery – and that is scary with a rotary cutter and curves. SO, what’s a quilter to do…fix it.

This is absolutely the best. Simply apply it to the ruler and you won’t have any slippage! The other thing is that it is readily available at any drug store, so not too hard to find. If you don’t like it you can take it off and clean the ruler with rubbing alcohol.

Now Its Your Turn:
The rules are simple: Write up a tip or group of tips or a tutorial and link that post in the linky party below, which is open from the 22nd at midnight through midnight on February 28th. The post does not have to be new but should be one that hasn’t been featured in the Tips and Tutorials in the past. If you don’t have a blog, please send it to me (kathleen@kathleenmcmuisng.com) and I will post your tip or tutorial for you!
In case you didn’t know, if you have missed some past #TTot22, you can check them out in the tab at the top of my page or on my Pinterest board.
Please link up any tip or tutorial you would like to share for February 2021. It does not have to be a new one, but should be quilting or sewing-related!

That is a great tip – I have some of that tape, somewhere. Haha. Maybe I should locate it!
I am in the same boat as Wendy…I have that tape somewhere, too! And I bought it just for this purpose! 🙂
i’ve never seen that tape… great tip
I’m on the I’ve-never-seen-that-tape team. I use Grippy–spray it on the back of a ruler and it grips. But the tape sounds more readily available.
I’ve never seen that tape befor Kathleen. I think I need to go shopping. Thank you for the perfect suggestion.
Such a great tip, Kathleen! I recall using similar tape in nursing, but never would have thought of it as ruler grip!! Awesome! Now I have to go to the store! LOL
