Tips and Tutorials on the 22nd – #25

Welcome to year 3 of Tips and Tutorials on the 22nd #TTot22. I am so pleased to be hosting this for another year and even more pleased that I am hosting a challenge and a giveaway this month! It’s time that you show my readers what you know and share a favorite tip or new tutorial that you have been meaning to write up.

The rules are simple: Write up a tip or group of tips or a tutorial. Link that post in the linky party below, which is open from the 22nd at midnight through midnight on January 31st. The post does not have to be new, but should be one that hasn’t been featured in the Tips and Tutorials in the past. I am really excited to learn new things from my readers! In case you didn’t know, if you have missed some past #TTot22, you can check them out in the tab at the top of my page, or in the corresponding Pinterest board.

If you don’t have a blog, please send it to me (kathleen@kathleenmcmuisng.com) before January 29th, midnight EDT. I will post it for you and enter you.

Yes, there are prizes, and here is what I am giving away. I have 5 charms packs to give away to 5 winners! If you read my blog and don’t have a blog of your own, I will post it for you. You just need to send it to me before January 30th so I can make a post on it (even though we don’t finish until midnight on Jan 31st)

Here are the luscious charm packs I picked up specifically for this hop.

I have a tip for you from Linda Garcia, who says:

I have my “backing” fabrics stored separately from my general stash.  For yardage that has the possibility of being enough for a backing, I measure each piece and write on a slip of paper the yardage and then I pin the paper to the fabric with a safety pin.  That way, when I am looking for backing fabric, I can see at a glance if the piece will be large enough for what I need.  It saves lots of time when contemplating backings.

Now Its Your Turn:

Please link up any tip or tutorial you would like to share for January 2021. It does not have to be a new one, but should be quilting or sewing-related!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Thank you for continuing to host this linkup! I have a few posts that I’ve shared lately, so I’ll share one this month and save the other for a future month. And if you draw my name for a charm pack, you can either give another winner 2 packs or just select a new winner. I’m more than happy to link up with you regardless! <3

Hi Kathleen! Nothing like sneaking in right under the wire. I’m so glad you gave me that gentle nudge! Now it’s time to check out what other tips have been shared! I wonder how you managed with the last HUGE nor’easter?? {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
