The Full Corn Harvest Moon has come and gone and just like that it is the 22nd of September. is here. Time does seem to be flying by, but there is good news – today is the 21st edition of my monthly Tips and Tutorials. This month, there are some linkups from last month to catch up on as well as some things that I saw and wanted to share with you.
First, here are the fabulous bloggers and the posts that they linked up last month.
- Quilting Gail linked up her batting strips for bowls blog post. This is great if you get the urge to make bowls and don’t have any wash line.
- How to make a floor pillow is also a lovely post from Beginner Sewing Projects.
- The Happiest Camper submitted her post on creating an ironing board cover.
- And, last but not least, is the fabulous tutorial on making an Ernie Express Quilt, a la Something Rosemade!
Second, I’d like to share some that caught my eye this past month.

Laura, who blogs at LC’s Cottage, created this lovely ironing station. How about that bright green wall, too!

Then we had some great tips from Yvonne, Quilting Jetgirl, about working with directional fabrics and stitching and flipping. You will want to watch this if you ever wondered how to make that all work.

Next is, 3 Essential Steps before beginning a new project from Tina, who blogs at Quilting Affection Designs. Some people are more organized than others, but this is a great reminder of some of the things we need to think about.

I love the idea of a Faux log cabin block that Kris blogged about at Scrapdash. It reminds me of the variety of settings you can do with a log cabin or a half square triangle, but maybe a little simpler.
This last seires by Sarah at Sarah Goer Quilts is really fun on her improv technique. Her hammock and book blocks are really interesting and once again, I find myself thinking about improv piecing.
Now, if you have missed some past #TTot22, you can check them out in the tab at the top of my page, or in the corresponding Pinterest board.

Here is your chance to link up tips and tutorials that you find.
