All month long I love collecting tips and tutorials for you. I also love seeing what pops into the linky party that is open until the end of the month. This month, I traveled and came home to a sick dog so I thought I would be short of content but no, there was plenty out there to share with you. Now, if you have missed some past #TTot22, you can check them out in the tab at the top of my page, or in the corresponding Pinterest board.
Without further ado, let’s see what I found while reading blogs this month!
TIPS for the Month

Yvonne always has excellent tips and tutorials for us. This tutorial on thread weight and needles is really helpful.
I loved this block from Alycia and it would be a fun one to do with some leftover scraps or more planned out. You could even use a feature fabric in the center block!
Quilting Designs

I love Sue’s instructions for how to do this triangle design with a ruler and no marking.

Leah Day has a treasure trove of quilting designs. This one, on a sunburst design is sure to become a favorite.
Fun Project

Who can resist making adorable baby bibs? Lots of great hints in here (who knew there were long shank snaps???).
I don’t have a door like this, but what a fun use of panels to make a door panel quilt. I actually could use one on my front door for the winter, to keep out some of the cold, now that I think about it.
I love a great project, as I have so many quilts. This reversible bucket hat comes highly recommended; let me know if you try it – some of you are so much better than I am at chasing squirrels!
I don’t make Percy wear these often, but I know some of you like a bandana for your 4 legged friends.
Wendy linked this terrific Trash Bag for your car last month, and I think it is a great idea for some of those scraps I have leftover!

Here is your chance to link up tips and tutorials that you find.
Come back later this week to see another block that I designed with Karen Thurn for the Partners in Design Destination: QAL! I have been a little slow this month, due to planned time for refreshment but also tending a sick doggie. He is progressing nicely, so I am hoping September will be a bit more productive!
Coming Up on the Blog:
Block 7 – Destination QAL – 8/24
Block 8 – destination QAL – 8/31
Thanks for the highlight, Kathleen. I have another idea for a tutorial, just haven’t had the time to get it done. Maybe next month!
Lots of fun links to check out…thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thanks for sharing these wonderful tips and tutes, Kathleen!!
I saw Alycia’s orange block tutorial – love! Leah Day taught me how to quilt on my longarm; I bought it used off eBay and her blog and demos on a domestic I translated to the longarm and had a ball.
Fabulous tips this month, Kathleen. I swear, you are trying to share some squirrel projects if I didn’t know better. Well, maybe I don’t know better! HAHA! Long shank snaps – quilting without marking (YES!), cute bucket hats – Chris??!! Did you see these?!! Thank you so much. ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks for all the quilty goodness to do!! and for the little shout out – i got all excited seeing that!
