Here we are at the end of Segment 1, and block #4 is up. Building on the success of last years block, Jennifer of The Inquiring Quilter designed “Turtle Beach Block”.

Patterns are available on the designers blog. As in prior years, the posts go live on our blogs and our Facebook Group at 8 AM, EDT. You can see Jennifers’s block here and read all her good information about making this delightful block.

I love seeing turtles in the wild. We used to go to Stone Harbor NJ and would watch for turtles crossing the street. It was a common thing to see cars put their flashers on, stop and carry the turtle to the other side. I know you will enjoy making this block.
Above are some of the blocks some of the hosts made for this week. Do be sure to check out their blogs for hints.

Cute block! Now I want to go to NJ just to watch for the turtles 🙂 I haven’t joined in on the blocks, but sure have been tempted. Really fun to see each one!
Awwww turtles! It’s heartwarming when people stop for critters crossing the road. Those linked up blocks are so cute.
The blocks are marching or should I say swimming along! I, too, love seeing turtles in the wild, and we have lots around here, which is just so cool. We even have some road signs/alerts along some of the roads close to Lake Erie and some of the feeder ponds/creeks, ‘Turtle Crossing’. 🙂
