Wow, here we are at December and the last block of 2020! Jen from Patterns by Jen has done a great job this year. I love cardinals which is the bird from which she picked her colors for the this month.

Cardinals fascinate me and I love the sound of their call. I remember my mother enjoying the cardinals in her yard. Many of us have heard that cardinals are souls or angels visiting us – I found out this is probably related to the Native American beliefs around cardinals. I also read that the female sings; one of the few north american female songbirds that do.

The two beauties pictured caught my eye because they reflected the colors in my block. My quilt needed at least one more of the neutrals in it, so here it is.
Once again, when the linkup opens, my photo above will take you to the blogpost with the link. Until then, happy sewing.

Quarter 4 Sponsors
Prizes for this quarter will be awarded on January 1 2021. To enter you must link up your block at the end of the month. Each month you enter gives you a chance to win. If you miss one month, don’t despair, you can still enter the other months for a chance.

There’s a lot going on this month. I’ll be showing some finishes and rapidly making up a few new projects. Looking forward to seeing if I can really get it all done this month!

I love your block. The colors are absolutely gorgeous together.
Beautiful!
Gorgeous! Love the color combo!
We have a couple of pairs of cardinals that hang around here all year long. I always enjoy getting peeks of them, especially in winter. I like the fabrics in your block – now I need to get mine done!
Hi Kathleen! I love your block and it represents this month perfectly. Cardinals – they mate for life and I am thrilled to say I have a pair outside my work window. I tend to believe the Native Americans when they say it is the soul or angel visiting. That is a very comforting thought at times. ~smile~ Roseanne
I love your cardinal block!!!
Kathleen, you cardinal themed block is bright and beautiful. The colors have just put me in a Christmas mood. Hugs to you.
