Welcome to Block 9 of the QAL by the Sea! I am a little late posting this, but I had another post commitment on Tuesday. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the “Setting Sail” block designed by Karen of Tu-Na Quilts, Travels and Eats.
This sailboat is so much fun! Of course, Karen used her signature RicRac as an embellishment. One feature I really like on this block is the technique she used to make the sails. I know you will enjoy sewing away on this delightful block – you need to visit Sandy so you can get it here.
Remember to check out the full-time hosts for their spin on Karen’s block.

Great block, Kathleen! I love how the sails are done!
Looking forward to seeing all the blocks together! So fun!
The sails on the boat are so realistic with the peeled back method!
