Time for a few little housekeeping items and updates. February will fly by with all that I have to do, but I am looking forward to this month for so many reasons. This picture is from one of my very first Island Batik Ambassador projects, and is such a wonderful February quilt. If you weren’t around then, all my Island Batik projects have their own tab, but here is the link to that one. I have an idea for Project Quilting but I may run out of time.
First, up is my One Monthly Goal. I have hope I can finish 3 tablerunners in Maine this upcoming week. All 3 need a border/binding and one needs some quilting. I seem to only have two of them in pictures right now, but the third will appear when they are all done!

I’ll be there! This is my second year at QuiltCon and I am so excited. I am taking classes with Angela Walters, Thursday (all day) and Cheryl Brickey, Saturday (morning)! If you want to catchup, email me. Oh, and if you know things I should be seeing or places to eat, I’d love suggestions.

And, in more QuiltCon news, I’m participating in the Modern Quilt Guild Mini Swap this year on Friday Evening. I’ll give you a little hint, and that is all….

I purchased that light at QuiltCon last year and love it. It made it so easy to get the pieces ready for my project! Its a Daylight Wafer 1 Lightbox*. I also purchased the cutting pad and I love it – one of the best little tools.

Tips and Tutorials on the 22nd had 8 link ups. You can see them on my Pinterest board or there is always a tab on the top of my home page. You can put up an old favorite or a completely new tip or tutorial. The more the merrier, so remember to join in the party!
I wish you luck with your February goals and adventures. I am a little worried as I am traveling for 6 days (thank goodness it is leap year) and that will cut into sewing time in the best of all possible ways. So, here’s for a 10 productive days before a quilter’s fancy turns to QuiltCon!

Hi Kathleen! WHAT?!!!!! You just causally mention you’re going to QuiltCon, as if it’s an everyday occurrence. Geez. Have a blast with Angela!!! I would love to take one of her classes. She has inspired me to just give things a try . . . I can hear her little voice saying you can do it. Enjoy the mini-swap, and the weather, and the friends, and the vendors, and just everything! I can hardly wait to hear all about it. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Yes!!! I am so excited. Last year was really fun even though I had an ugly bump on my head. I have a little more time there too so I am really quite excited. Sorry you won’t be there, but maybe one year we’ll have a meet up somewhere!
You know I wish I was going to QuiltCon, so I’ve got a little envy going on. Have fun with you and the other Sista. I’ll be mailing my swap mini on Monday (I’ve already received mine). I’ve got notes done for the 29th, blog writing will commence soon. You have a lot going on in February — enjoy every minute in those QuiltCon classes — they sound great!
I do wish you were going too! I really have to get cracking and I missed posting this OMG but that is ok….I will still work on getting it done, just so I do have my PhD at the end of the year!!
You are unbelievably busy in this too-short month! Envious of your trip to Quilt-Con, you will have an awesome time!!
I am very lucky and will miss all those internet friends I would love to see!
Travel really can effect productive sewing time. I’ll be traveling for 10 days for QuiltCon. Fingers crossed I can get everything I need to done in the next 7 days. Best wishes for you in the same regard, safe travels, and have fun!!!
Look forward to seeing you there. And best wishes for getting it all done too!
Envy here too! QuiltCon for the second time. Wish I could go too and meet up. Maybe next year!
I do hope that happens!
I hope you have a fabulous time at QuiltCon! I’m hoping to go next year in Atlanta.
I hope to do Atlanta, too, as it is so close. After that I’ll only do the east coast ones – unless hubs wants to go.
