I did think this was going to happen before the last day of the linky party, but at least it is happening. I had more blogs to get in before the end of the year, so a few bled into the new year. Without further ado here are the top 5 posts from my blog! Thanks to Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs for sponsoring this hop – it is always fun to look back and see what was enjoyed by my readers. Today is the last day, so you still have time.

Sew Let’s QAL – Block 9 In Stitches
This was a block I designed for the QAL sponsored by the Partners in Design group. I love that this was the top blog. I had a lot of fun designing it an already am on to another way to cut out letters (which I despise) with my Scan N Cut (see an example here)

Tutorial: Reversible Log Cabin Block
I like that a 2018 entry is second in the list, kind of odd, but I think it got picked up from Pinterest?

Make a Drawstring Gift Bag
Well, this is not a surprise as the audience is the same as the first group, Partners in Design. We decided to a do a “freebie”, just have a hop about presents for yourself or others you could make.

Beat the Heat – An Island Batik Challenge
This is one of my very favorite finishes this year! It is an Island Batik Ambassador project and I loved doing it. There were two “professional” accomplishments for me: 1) the design and 2) quilting it in halves on my small longarm!

Block 1: Sew Let’s QAL
This is again from the Partners in Design collaboration! The block was designed by April Adams, from Janda Bend Quilts, and was the first in the QAL. I sewed along for this part of the hop and thoroughly enjoyed participating.

B&W and a touch of Coral
This quilt was for a blog hop – Black and White – sponsored by Carla Henton of Creatin In The Sticks. I loved the way this turned out. You can read more about it on the blog, but one of the things I loved was adding in the coral, 2019 Patntone color of the year.

Loved seeing them all again, Kathleen! Your Beat the Heat is especially an awesome finish!!!
It sure is one of my favorites from this year!
You’ve had a great year, Kathleen. Thank you for the reversible log cabin tutorial. Love the IB beat the heat and the B&W quilts. Wish you a wonderful 2020!
Thank you, Vasudha. It has been a lovely year and so pleased to have been an ambassador with you this year! A wonderful 2020 to you too!
So many lovely projects!!! I love the variety of your work. Of course Beat the Heat takes the cake. Wishing you lot of joy and creativity in 2020!!!
Thank you, so much Preeti. I never have had a “style” and this does show that I am much more an ecletic quilter.
What a great review. I have those drawstring bags on my pinterest board. Someday I will get tot hem!
Those bags are fun and I saw the circular needlepoint at Joanne’s, which I will add to the post. I don’t go there very often but was near one the other day.
