My OMG was my Partners in Design Project, a drawstring bag. I love those bags and will be making a few more before the year is out. I like the additional push I get from Patty at elm Street Quilts that keeps me focused on one of my monthly projects.

Another goal was to make my 2019 Monthly Color Challenge by Patterns by Jen. I am so pleased that this too is done; I have really enjoyed doing these as the month goes on – Island Batik scraps have been my theme.

I have already tried a few layouts, here’s one version.

I was really pleased with the fun I had with this quilt. Somehow, the month escape me, but my Island Batik Challenge did get finished. It too about 5 days of work, off and on, and in between preparing for Thanksgiving but it is all done.
I am working on two blocks of the month, blobbing about them. One is Sherry’s Barn BOM and the other is Awesome Ocean SAL. The Barn quilt is a much larger quilt so it takes more time; awesome ocean is a baby quilt.
December will be much of the same. I expect I will be a little earlier with Island Batik, I don’t usually let things get so late but this one did!
Happy December!
