This pattern is called “Awesome Ocean” and is by Elizabeth Hartman. I have been wanting to make it for a long time and am biting the bullet. I figured I would try to make a block every 2 weeks. I am sure some of you have wanted to make this, or need a baby quilt in your stash or need to donate a quilt! A few years ago, I made Fancy Forest – you can see mine here – and I found that I couldn’t resist this one. Ocean themes always speak to me, so here I am launching a sew along.

You can get the pattern from my amazon affiliate link* or from the designer directly or in your local store.

Above is the back of the pattern, for some of the the fabric requirements. I am working with an Island Batik line, Ocean Odyssey (I received in 2018) that I have saved for awhile. It is funny that my first Fancy Forest led to a second as I had plenty leftover, so I added a few more fat quarters and went on my merry way.

The Details:
November 23: First block posted.
Every 2 weeks: New block posts
March 14: Last block posts
April 25: Parade of quilts
Linky parties will happen beginning November 23rd, post pics of blocks
