A pink block for February

I made the Feburary 2019 Monthly Color Challenge block with some of my terrific Island Batik fabrics. I don’t have a lot of pink, and I had used some for a breast cancer ribbon block, so I made do. I decided not to use a background that was light, although I could have. I played around with a few layouts.

I chose the final layout that I did because I felt that it gave the block some movement.

These are pretty intense blocks; it will be fun to see them come together.

I am so excited that I will be there! I’m so excited to meet my followers, people I follow and some desiging friends from Partners in Design and the Island Batik Ambassadors. Let me know if you want to catch up….I do have buttons too – how fun is that!

Two blog hops happen next week (Monday and Tuesday are my days) and I’m furiously working to finish one, blog about both and then do my Island Batik mini. I’m still not convinced I have a plan for my mini – but lets get the other things done, and then I can focus on that. For a short month, there has been a lot packed into it!

I’m just a teensy bit jealous/envious of you getting to meet friends at QuiltCon. I’ll send a virtual hug and hello, and that will have to do. Someday we’ll meet!

Hi again! WOWEE – you have a packed week ahead of you. Blogs, posts, minis and QuiltCon. Ooh, we were this close | | to going to QuiltCon, too . . . but alas didn’t. I don’t have to say it but I know you will have a blast. {{Hugs}} Safe travels, learn lots and then come back and tell Wendy and I and more about it. Love the movement you instilled in your pink block – it looks fabulous. This will be fun to see where next month’s navy takes you. ~smile~ Roseanne

The oh so versatile QSTs…just by rotating the pieces around you can make the block look completely different!! Love your pinks!!
