Secret Sewing:
I have been busy – my top, backing and binding are ready for the Island Batik Getaway blog hop – they await a quilting plan. Meanwhile, the above is a glimpse of the fabrics – aren’t they delicious. I am in love with the dragonflies and leaves that are featured in this collection. The purples and green/blue fabrics are right in my favorite colorway scheme. Please take a look at what the other ambassadors have created this week – giveaways and eye candy are abundant!

The Black & White Blog Hop is in one more week! For my part, most of the top of the quilt is made; a small border is to be added. I am so in love with it. I am using Island Batik fabric for this, too. Yes, they have solids (grey, black and white). We could add a hint of color and I went with a batik that is close to the Pantone color of the year – living coral. If I am right, I think it is called Tangy.
I ran across some old notes. I never told you about my experiment with EPP on the machine – it is worth discussing – so you will see that some time this week. In order to test this technique and tool out, I did a nearly identical piece as the Lucy Boston in island batiks, too. It definitely worked and will be considered again – for a quick win!
I need to also make a list of my Q1FAL2019 projects – they do include 3 Island batik projects, three hop quilts (Black and white, wings and an old book), and TBD ufos from my pile.
All of this should keep me out of trouble – or in the kind of trouble I really love – quilting.

Hi Kathleen! Lots of goodness of the quilty kind in this post. I had to sit down and make my Q1 list yesterday. At first I thought that would be so difficult, to plan three months out. But, um, no it was not. Not hard at all! I look forward to your IBA day as well as the black and white hop. AND machine EPP – that sounds like it needs a new name then like MPP or something. I look forward to reading that post as well. Get writing, girl. ~smile~ Roseanne
I hope the perfect quilting plan strikes you for your project and I look forward to seeing what you’ve made!
Those batiks ARE fantastic! I can’t wait to see your project. I’m looking forward to seeing the Black and White blog hop, too. Thanks for linking up to What I Made Monday!
