Whaleback, Peaks Island ME
What does this rock have to do with my goals and quilting? This is one of my favorite spots on the island in Maine. I walk by it many days and love to see it changes. It seems constant, but there are changes – each year and maybe even each day. This is often a distraction for me, but I think a good one.
When I set my goals earlier this year, I had no idea I would be an Island Batik Ambassador. My goals are being met AND the goals for the ambassador program, too, are being met. It has been a very good year so far! I have gotten a lot done and a lot more is on the schedule. I am really pleased that Yvonne asked us to look back at our goals at the half way mark. I believe in being kind to myself, but I really wanted to challenge myself this year, little did I know the challenges I would be facThere are a number of goal setting blogs I participate in and these are really helping me to focus. I am psyched!
Without further ado, here is a synopsis of what is going on.

Quilting Jetgirl: Midyear Review
Congratulations on achieving so many of your goals! I can’t wait to see what you add to your list next. 🙂
It has been a first good half. The second half has 2 or 3 long lasting projects, so they will be a little harder, but it feels like things are going in the right direction.
I’m glad that taking the time to look back on the first half of the year has you feeling like your goals are being met even with the addition of the Island Batik Ambassador role! May the rest of your 2018 be just as fulfilling.
It has been fun and so helpful to keep track of these things. I am as busy and quilting more than I was when I worked at the quilt shop.
Kathleen, I love the rock you get to see daily! Great job with you goals!
I am pretty pleased with what I have gotten done. There is always more but this feels like a good year!
I have to do this mid-year review yet too. It’s such a valuable activity. Love your rock analogy, and you’ve done well, my friend. Here’s to the second half!
